President William Ruto is presiding over the passing-out parade of newly trained General Service Unit (GSU) recruits at the National Police College, Embakasi ‘B’ Campus in Nairobi.

The ceremony follows the recruits’ completion of an intensive training programme, paving the way for their deployment to various parts of the country under the National Police Service.

Earlier, Ruto officially opened the Social Health Authority (SHA) Block at the GSU Embakasi Health Centre as part of his day’s programme.

The recruits recently completed their training at the GSU Magadi Field Campus in Kajiado County, where they underwent physical, tactical and specialised training.

During the training’s closure ceremony in Magadi, Deputy Inspector General of Police Eliud Lagat urged the recruits to remain ready to serve in different locations and adapt to varying operational circumstances.
