Tyson Fury has claimed Anthony Joshua is backing away from their highly anticipated all-British heavyweight clash and has turned his attention to a possible third fight against Oleksandr Usyk. Fury and Joshua have been negotiating a long-awaited bout, reportedly targeted for November, but no official venue has been confirmed. Fury has grown increasingly frustrated by the lack of a final agreement and recently criticised Joshua over the delay. In a video posted on Instagram, the 38-year-old Fury suggested Joshua was no longer willing to face him and said he was now considering other opponents. Fury called on Usyk to meet him for a trilogy, noting that the Ukrainian has defeated him twice. He also acknowledged Usyk’s previous victories and challenged him to consider another fight in November. Joshua has been training with members of Usyk’s team, adding another connection between the two heavyweight camps. Meanwhile, Madison Square Garden in New York has been widely tipped as a possible venue for Fury-Joshua, although Joshua’s camp reportedly favours Wembley Stadium. Saudi-backed promoter Sela and Netflix are understood to prefer hosting the bout in the United States.
